It is important not to just believe what you hear or read, but to validate your sources by researching whether they are true or not. Also, there are often many factors that contribute to what the earth can cope with, and all these factors need to be considered before coming up with a conclusion. Considering your textbook as a source: Read the information on population around the world (page 24-25) and as a group find the answers to questions 1-6 on page 25. Test Your Knowledge:Are you a Population Powerhouse or just a Demographic Dabbler? Take the World Population Knowledge Quiz to test your understanding of human history and the impacts of population growth.
You can retake it many time with different questions being offered. Found that a little challenging, try this Population Quiz to see if you fare better. Then have a look at this amazing population calculator. You can adjust factors to test how the population would grow. Read pages 20-23 in your G2T.
