This week we will be exploring the parts of a computer. We will introduce this by opening up a computer for you to be able to handle the parts of a computer. You will be divided into two groups. Each group is to open up their computer and identify the following parts of the computer:
It is common for some of these parts to be built into the motherboard. Identify which parts are external and which parts are inbuilt. Next identify each of the following parts of the motherboard: Note that each motherboard looks different depending on the manufacturer and the batch in which it was produced. After inspecting your computer, fit all the parts back together as they should be. Task: Make a comment including the following:

I could not identify many of the computer parts that were presented to me. Although, when going more precisely, I could identify all parts of the motherboard.

We opened the mother board of the computer and identified different parts of it. I was able to identify the IDE connector, floppy drive connector, 24 pin ATX power connector, super IO chip, DIMM memory slots, CPU fan connector.

My group disassembled the computer case. It was easy, sort of. We couldn't identify some of the parts of the motherboard. We had some difficulty putting back the parts.

We opened up the motherboard, optical disc drive, and computer case.

Today we identifies the different parts of a motherboard. My group and i were able to identify the CPU socket, integrated graphics processor, IDE connector, the floppy drive connector, the DIMM memory and the BIOS flash chip. PCI stands for Peripheral Component Interconnect and is an industry standard bus for attaching peripheral devices to a computer
