A city is defined as "an inhabited place of greater size, population, or importance than a town or village" A town is defined as "a compactly settled area usually larger than a village but smaller than a city" A village is defined as "a territorial area having the status of a village especially as a unit of local government" A hamlet is defined as "a small village" Rural is defined as being "of or relating to the country, country people or life, or agriculture" Urban is defined as being "of, relating to, characteristic of, or constituting a city"

Bell Work: Why is weather in the UK so unique? Have a look at the map below, and in your group, using your geographical knowledge, try come up with 4 few factors that would influence UK weather.
In your groups, you are to read through pages 50-51 in your G1T.

Read through page 52-53 in your G1T to get an idea about how the UK is populated. Now consider Qatar. Although it is very difficult to become a Qatari national, the country of Qatar is population by many foreign nationals, the following displaying the largest population groups: Both the UK and Qatar have been built and populated by immigration, even if this immigration did not lead to nationalization. Here are two video that debunk some of the myths about why immigration is a bad.
